Question: How much does a Practical Driving Test cost and how long will I have to wait for a test date?

The Practical Test is operated by the Driving Standards Agency, which is a government run organisation, it is not controlled by either driving instructors or schools.  The current fee is £48.50, this is reviewed regularly.

The time you have to wait for a test varies from test centre to test centre and can change at any time due to examiners sickness, holidays, retirement and new examiners to a test centre.

Currently King's Lynn test centre has approximately a 4-6 week waiting time for tests, but please remember this can change at any time.  No practical tests can be booked unless the Theory Test has been passed.
