Question: What type of Car Courses do you do?

We can offer several types of courses:  Hourly, Intensive, Guaranteed Pass, Refresher and Pass Plus.

Hourly means that you take from one to a few hours of lessons a week over a longer period working up to a practical test date.  The practical test is booked once the theory test has been passed and you are nearly up to test standard.  This type of course is ideal for people who cannot commit to an intensive course because of lack of time due to work/school commitments, or not prepared to pay for all their lessons in advance.  However the most important reason for choosing hourly lessons over an intensive course is the fact that some people would find it difficult to concentrate and take all the information in over a very short period of time.

Intensive means that you take all your lessons over normally a five-day period with the Practical Test at the end.   To take this Course you must have first passed your Theory Test as a Practical Test date cannot be booked until this has been passed.  This course is suitable for people who need to pass their test by a certain date, and are able to take at least a week off work/school for the lessons.  They should also have the ability to concentrate for up to 5 hours of lessons in one day.  If you have had a number of lessons already, the 20-hour intensive course would be suitable for you, if however you have had little or no experience we would recommend either the 25 or 30 hour intensive.

Guaranteed Pass course means that we provide you with tuition from the Theory Test to the Practical Test.  We will pay for both the Practical and Theory Tests and provide you with Theory Test CD-Rom training, we will also provide up to 40 - 50 hours one-to-one tuition before your test day.  If unfortunately you fail the practical test, we will pay for any subsequent tests and provide a car for the test day.  This test is suitable for people who have had little or no previous experience and want the certainty of the Guaranteed Pass.  This course is normally taken over at least 8-days and again needs somebody who can concentrate over a short period of time.

Refresher means that you have already passed the practical test, but may have had little or no experience since or may have been involved in an accident and just need a few hours of refresher lessons to build up your confidence again.

Pass Plus is a Course taken by newly qualified drivers (within 12 months) that is taken over one day for approximately six-hours.  It covers all aspects of driving, including motorway, travelling at speed and country road driving, which they may not have learnt during their lessons. Once passed a certificate is issued which is recognised by some insurers who will then provide a reduced premium.
